Having
been hooked on the Stray Cats since 1981, aged 14, it has been my pleasure
to meet Brian Setzer twice. The first time was backstage at Shepherds
Bush in '99, the second was in Amsterdam on the '68 Comeback Special tour
where I literally flashed him wearing one of his T shirts!
I had just added the Setzer tattoo prior to attending the Dead Men Walking
gig at Buxton and was determined to get a pic with Jim. As well as the
usual arms round each other 'cheesy grin' shot, I got this idea in my
head that it would just be great if Jim would pose pointing at my Brian
tattoo... Of course we all have ideas, but Jim was fantastic. He chatted
with me about the Rockabilly scene, he told me how he loved playing in
England and if I caught another DMW show to look him up. Top geezer. And
then of course, he made a balding rocker happy and posed for this pic.
Jim, thanks dude, you are a great sport and I eagerly await the return of the Rockabilly Kings... and DMW who were great also. Steve.
